The Gofukucho Taproom is the second “licensed” Baird Beer Taproom in Japan (following the Hakuba Taproom). It transitioned to this format in March 2020. It is owned and run by our friend and first Baird Beer full-time employee, Yokoto Fumitake (Yoko-chan), who opened this establishment back in April 2010 under the name Beer Yokota.
Located in the bustling Gofukucho ward of Shizuoka city, the Gokfukucho Taproom enjoys the cozy and intimate wood-and-brick décor common to all Baird Taprooms. 16 taps of draught Baird Beer are supplemented by a showcase fridge packed with bottled-conditioned seasonal Baird Beer not available on draught.
Yoko-chan’s kitchen is immaculate and his lovingly crafted and curated food reflects this artisanal attention to detail.
Taprooms are non-smoking establishments so that guests can enjoy the taste and aroma of the cuisine and beer.
