Progress
In the beginning work on the Bashamichi Taproom seems to be very slow with little outward signs of progress to show. Â That is because a lot of the work at this stage has to do with implementing the unseen infrastructure of the taproom that is not at all visible. Well that is beginning to change as we enter the 3rd week of work on the building.
When I last visited last week, Nagakura-san was busy installing the internal plumbing.

And work had started on the internal and external walls, but there was not much to see.

If you look at the bottom right of this picture behind the green utility box, you can see the grey stone like finish to the exterior wall starting to take shape.

Well this week, a lot more work has been completed on the exterior face as you can see in this photo. Â And all of the ugly hanging wires that was present when we first encountered the building has been removed.

The plumbing has now been covered up with the newly installed subfloor.
Well that is all for this week. Â I’m looking forward to even more signs of progress when I visit again next week.
