IPA Festival – 10 Days, 10 IPAs

January 5, 2009

Happy New Year! We have decided to jump into beer year 2009 with great vigor by hosting at our Taprooms a first-time event: IPA Festival 2009 — Ten Days, 10 IPAs!

Ten different types of India Pale Ale will be poured at the same time for ten days at each or our Taprooms. The Taproom kitchens will prepare several specialty dishes designed to pair with India Pale Ales in a way that enhances the overall imbibing experience.  Special half-pint drink cards with punches for all ten IPA styles will be available for purchase and a complimentary Baird Beer pint glass or poster (customer choice) will be given to all customers who complete the card within the ten-day festival time frame (cards purcahsed at the Fismarket Taproom can only be used at the Fishmarket Taproom). Festival dates are as follows:

Fishmarket Taproom: Wednesday, January 7 through Saturday, January 17 (Closed on Tuesday, January 13)
Nakameguro Taproom: Saturday, January 17 through Monday, January 26

The ten IPAs to be served are listed below:

Teikoku IPA (ABV 6.0%; IBU 54; Bitter/Flavor Hops – Warrior, Nugget, Horizon; Aroma/Dry Hops – Glacier & Vanguard): This Baird year-round IPA is a sort of English/American hybrid.
