Dear Taproom Friend & Baird Beer Enthusiast:
Autumn greetings! After a bit of a hiatus in seasonal beer production we are pleased to announce the release of a new Baird Beer Baird Best Bitter. This classic English-style ale was brewed at the request of Beer Club Popeye for tapping at its October Real Ale Festival this Sunday, October 12 (more details below). It also will go on tap in Numazu at the Taproom beginning this Sunday, October 12.
Baird Best Bitter is a lowish gravity, moderate alcohol (approximately 4.5%) session beer. There is a gorgeous interplay of hops and malt in this brew rendering it full and satisfying yet light and refreshing. The flavor is nutty, soft and fruity.
Baird Beer enthusiasts should take note of the following beer event:
– Event: October Real Ale Festival 2003
– Location: Beer Club Popeye (Ryogoku, Tokyo); Tel. 03-3633-2120
– Date: Sunday, October 12 (doors open at 6:00 PM)
– Charge: 3,000 yen (includes four beer tickets)
– Reservations Required (please call Popeye in advance)
In addition to Baird Best Bitter, Popeye will be pouring four other styles in real ale fashion, some of which will be coming direct from England. This is a great opportunity for all you real ale lovers to quench your real ale thirst.
Cheers,
Baird Brewing Company & Fishmarket Taproom
