Dear Taproom Friend & Baird Beer Enthusiast:

The end of April marks the beginning of Golden Week in Japan and the Taproom, as is our custom on national holidays, will be open from noon to midnight on the following Golden Week days:

– Thursday, April 29
– Friday, April 30
– Monday, May 3
– Tuesday, May 4
– Wednesday, May 5

On Saturdays and Sundays, of course, we always are open from noon to midnight. The day following Golden Week (Thursday, May 6), the Taproom will be closed for a needed break. Please mark you calendar and plan to join us at the Taproom for a festive and beery Golden Week!

There is one more important beer event in April to mark on your calendar: on Saturday, April 17 Divine Vamp III will go on tap at Beer Club Popeye in Tokyo. This is a special beer brewed by Baird Brewing at the request of Popeye and for sale only at Popeye. Moreover, it is an extremely unique beer: we call it an IBA (India Black Ale). As the name reveals, it is a dark beer with an extremely hoppy character. For those of you who love both hoppy beers and dark beers, this is a golden chance to discover both attributes in one brew.
