Seasonal Release Lager Beer Series Cool Breeze Pils

July 27, 2004

Dear Taproom Friend & Baird Beer Enthusiast:

As we move into the hot, dead weeks of summer here in Japan, nothing is welcomer than the sudden appearance of a cool breeze. Fortunately, that is just what is coming to Numazu on Wednesday, July 28 in the form of a new Baird Lager Beer Series seasonal brew — Cool Breeze Pils.

Baird Cool Breeze Pils is a Bohemian-style Pilsner that is a wonderful foil to the dumbed-down industrial Pils-derived lagers of the modern era. As with all Baird Beer, it is a robustly flavorful brew (unfiltered, naturally carbonated and dry-hopped), and yet, as per the style, it is wonderfully thirst-quenching. The color is a rich gold and the clarity is crystal. The aroma is like a faint floral perfume. The flavor is an enticingly complex interplay of malt sweetness and hop bitterness. The finish is dry, cleansing and firmly bitter.

There is no more enjoyable way to beat the summer heat than with a Baird Cool Breeze Pils. Come visit us at the Fishmarket Taproom for a pint or two while kegs last.

Cheers,
Baird Brewing Company & Fishmarket Taproom
