Fishmarket Taproom Oktoberfest Celebration (10/6-8)

September 24, 2007

Dear Taproom Friend & Baird Beer Enthusiast:

Germany is one of the great Meccas of beer culture in the world. Oktoberfest is an annual celebration of German beer culture held in Munich around this time. This year, Baird Brewing will be participating in that celebration by hosting our own Oktoberfest event at the Fishmarket Taproom over the upcoming three-day holiday weekend (Saturday, October 6 – Monday. October 8).

Fishmarket Taproom Oktoberfest Celebration:

A) The Beers: This weekend event is dedicated to German and German-inspired beer styles (both lagers and ales). Special Baird Beers to be served include:
-Oktoberfest Lager 2006 (brewed in late spring 2006 and conditioned in the kegs for over one year)
-The Professor Munchner Dunkel
-Cool Breeze Pils 2007
-Black Velvet Dark Lager
-Suruga Bay Steam Lager
-New World Alt
-Old World Kolsch

B) The Food: The Taproom kitchen already is busy brainstorming a delectable menu of German-inspired beer cuisine. Seven to ten original dishes will be featured ranging in price from 400 yen to 1,000 yen.

C) The Venue:
The event will be held at the Fishmarket Taproom in Numazu. The Taproom doors will open each day at noon and close at midnight. Reservations are not required. A hearty appetite, a voracious thirst and a genuine enthusiasm for German beer culture are required.

Prost!
